Science and Technology Week 2023

Days: November 15, 16 and 17

Hours: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Place: Blanes Center for Advanced Studies (CEAB – CSIC)

Activities:

  • FRIDAY 17 at 19h. GUIDED TOUR: We invite you to come and learn about the facilities and laboratories of the center, and different projects that we are currently carrying out in the different aquatic environments in which we work: high mountain lakes, rivers and the sea, and also in the field of theoretical ecology.
  • THURSDAY 16 at 6 p.m. CLUE GAME “Deciphering the ocean”. The participants (recommended over 10 accompanied) will have to put themselves in the role of researchers to solve the clues and be able to open the final box. The activity makes it possible to learn, in a fun way, both concepts and scientific attitudes. At the end of the game there will be a short visit to the center’s laboratories.
  • FRIDAY 17 at 6 p.m. “Hidden Biodiversity” WORKSHOP. A workshop to learn about the diversity of life in the sea (recommended for families, including children) in this activity you will learn about organisms you never imagined and their importance for the balance of marine ecosystems. At the end of the workshop, around seven o’clock the guided tour of the center’s facilities and laboratories will begin.
