WELCOME TO BLANES, gateway of the Costa Brava. Enjoy our stunning beach and historic landscape. It is the southernmost seaside town of this beautiful coast. This fishing town has inspired several artists. It is a romantic city, full of celebrations, fireworks, sports and services. Definitely, it is the perfect example of a combination of land and sea products that welcomes you every day of the year.
Blanes has a typical Mediterranean climate with a mild climate all year round. So it is perfect to do outdoor sports and activities. But if not, you can also go for a walk along the beach and promenades. The city is blessed with summer months that are not oppressively hot and a winter season that is not bone-chillingly cold. Ideal temperatures to enjoy all the activities without worrying about the climate.
HOW TO GET TO THE CITY
Traveling to Blanes is really easy thanks to its good connection. We are 70 km away from Barcelona and just 40 km away from Girona. There is a train station near the Highway C32 and the Motorway N-II. There is also a good connection with Barcelona and Girona airports, so it is possible to arrange your visit depending on the means of transport that is best suited to your particular needs. We cannot guarantee that your way back home is going to be as pleasant because once you visit Blanes a part of you wants to stay here forever.
You can fly to the airport of Barcelona or the one in Girona because both are connected to Blanes.
If you fly to the airport of Barcelona-El Prat (85 km away), you can get to Blanes:
- By car (1 hour).
- By bus or train (about 2 hours)
If you fly to the airport of Girona-Costa Brava (32 Km away), you can get to Blanes:
- By car (N-II, in 30 minuts).
- By bus (about 1 hour).

You can get to Blanes from Girona or Barcelona by the following highways: C-32, AP-7 or N-II between 30 minutes and 1 hour. Several parking facilities are available once you are there.
There is a direct connection by train between Blanes and Barcelona and Girona. You only need to change train in Maçanet-Massanes station. This is a good option to forget about your car.
It is another easy way to get to Blanes, with direct routes from Barcelona, Girona, Maresme, Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar.
