Blanes is the perfect active tourism destination. It has a unique natural environment to do outdoor sports. Doing your favourite sport, going for a walk with friends or sailing are the best ways to discover Blanes and the Costa Brava.
You can start your day hiking , going running or Nordic walking along the coastline of Blanes following one of the six routes available. If you arrive in Pinya de Rosa Tropical Garden, you should stop to visit this amazing botanical garden that has one of the most interesting cactus living collections in Europe. After swimming on Treumal beach and stopping by Sant Francesc cove, yo should have dinner in one of the restaurants located at the harbour and overlooking Sa Palomera. Finish your day going to the mouth of the Tordera river to enjoy the sunset.
You can start your weekend going for a walk, going running oor Nordic walking in a route through the hermitages of Blanes. You will keep fit while learning a part of our historic cultural heritage. You can go shopping in the city shops later. Going for a walk along the promenade and having a drink is the best way to finish your day.
But the best way to start the following day is exploring the small coves of Blanes by kayak, such as Sa Forcanera or S’Agüia. Follow the path until Sa Palomera rock, the symbol of the city and a beautiful lookout point overlooking the city. Finally, you can finish your day with the routes of Tordera and Paratges del Vilar.
If you want to start sailing there are many possibilities available. As you come out of the water, you should visit Marimurtra and Pinya de Rosa gardens in Blanes as well as Santa Clotilde gardens in Lloret de Mar, with the Open Garden Tour (a touristic train).
