For this reason, that during June, Blanes has launched a campaign called: “Blanes, Ciutat esportiva” to make sports practice a sign of identity in our town.
The main characters of this campaign are the local athletes, and that is why, if you decide to walk through the streets of the center of Blanes, you will see posters with athletes from different disciplines photographed in the most emblematic places of our town. A skater in the castle of Sant Joan, a soccer player in the Port of Blanes, a rhythmic gymnast on top of “sa Palomera”, a hockey player in front of the church of Santa María …
Another objective of this campaign is to share and raise awareness of the importance of the values associated with sport, which are none other than identity, respect, diversity, and sustainability.
Blanes wants to position itself as a tourist and sports destination that encourages inclusion, respect, diversity, and where everyone, whatever it may be, can practice the sport they want. And it is that sport is healthy, but it is also fun and passionate.
