Endless beaches, charming beaches

A few days before summer arrives, one of the most anticipated seasons of the year, and with the good weather starting to be noticed everywhere, it’s the perfect time to talk about one of the most characteristic elements of our village, our beaches.

In Blanes, we live towards the Mediterranean Sea. We were born in this enjoyable place that identifies us. We are lucky to be living here, so we want that our visitors feel at home while having a great time on holidays in Blanes.

Platges sense fi, platges que enamoren

There are four kilometres of famous small coves and large beaches where you can find all you need to spend a pleasant day and do many kinds of water and sand sports. Several restaurants and lifeguard stations are open during the bathing season.

The beaches of Sant Francesc (Cala Bona), Blanes center, and “s’Abanell” have received the Blue Flag award for another year. For decades, these bathing areas of Blanes have renewed this distinctive award year after year that certifies the excellent environmental quality of its beaches, both in terms of sand, water quality, and the services offered.

To be eligible for this prestigious accolade, a series of strict environmental, educational, and safety-related criteria, accessories and, services must be fulfilled and maintained. This year, the three main bathing areas of Blanes will once again show these blue flags.

Our relationship with these awards comes from a long time ago, the beach of “s’Abanell” obtained this distinctive for the first time in 1994, Cala Bona or Sant Francesc did it in 1995 and, Blanes Centre in 1996.

On the other hand, the marina of “Club de Vela Blanes” has also revalidated this flag.

This summer we invite you to come and enjoy an unforgettable summer vacation on the beaches and coves of Blanes.
