Road of round in Blanes

Blanes and its trails are the best combination to discover and know first-hand the geography of the Costa Brava.

From Blanes to Portbou, with almost 130 kilometres of coastal paths, living and breathing the Mediterranean Sea will leave you breathless.

The beginnings of the Roads of Ronda go back to ancient times, when they were created to watch the contraband by the sea and that the fishermen could move the merchandise between the different coves.

The big rock that goes into the sea in Blanes, Sa Palomera, is the entrance to the spectacular landscape that the Costa Brava builds.

Blanes starts the roads that stretch to the French border, in the northernmost area of ​​the Costa Brava.

However, it has not always been possible to walk along the municipality’s path. In 2007, following a severe storm and for security reasons, the City Council was forced to close this step.

Years later, this round has been reactivated, with large security measures to prevent landslides. Now you can relive the Costa Brava and the great experience of the round way. The route of this unique path starts from Cala Bona towards the North, specifically towards Lloret de Mar.

It is planned to continue working to expand the layout open to the public of this road so ours, but it is a much more expensive work that will be expected.

Roads, each time, arouse more interest and not because they are a simple way, but for all the adventure that is the power to walk and stop to admire the beauty of the landscape, bathe in the coves and beaches that you go into or even eat wrapped in saltpetre and Mediterranean air.
